I recently started my own pc build for the first time and was wondering if all the parts and pieces are compatible and will have a good gaming performance. I had about a 1000$ budget and am wondering if there are any other better parts for roughly the same price that anyone could mention to me. My build is,

-gpu: gtx 960 evga 4gb ssc
-psu: evga 600w B1 80+
-cpu: i5 4460
-hdd: wd black 1tb caviar
-cpu cooler: cm 212 Evo
-mobo: asus z97-a 1150 socket
-ram: corsair vengance 2x4 gb ddr3
-os: windows 10 flash drive install (I have no optical drive)
-monitor: benq rl2455hm (I know its not necessary but wanted it for gaming)
-case: nzxt s340
Any help would be great, thanks!

Solution
1: CPU cooler is pointless. The cooler than comes with the I5 is perfectly sufficient for cooling it.
2: Save money and buy a WD Blue hard drive.
3. Z97 motherboard is pointless with a non-overclockable CPU. Save money and buy an H97 motherboard.
4: Power supply is low quality. Put the money saved from the above two into a good quality power supply unit. Like the XFX TS 550W, or the EVGA Supernova GS 550W.

Can I trust the thermal paste that comes with the default cpu cooler?
