my ram is not working

i was having 2*4 gb of ram earlier which is total 8 gb and it was showing 8 gb earlier. yesterday i bought an 8 gb kingston hyperfury ram. i removed my older ram and inserted the new kingston ram, after that my windows fails to star a blue crash screen comes when i start it. but when i add older 4 gb ram with this new ram my pc starts and show total of 12 gb ram.


help me as i only want a 8 gb single stick to run
 


With the computer switched off and the PSU switched off also, either -

remove the backup button battery from the motherboard and leave it out for a few minutes and then replace it back in the motherboard, or

move the CLRTC jumper on the motherboard over to the next pin, and leave it in this position for about 30 seconds, then return the jumper back to original position: - see page 1-17 of the motherboard manual for details
