Im not really happy with my performance on Fallout 4 for example so, is it worth buying a 970 now or should I wait? I dont picture myself paying more than 500CAD for a graphics card btw
judging from past nvidia launches, yes. it will be fairly pricey but nothing too insane. the 900 series will see a 5-10% drop in price at best in 4-5 months. performance wise, im not sure. its hard to tell. I'd personally just go with a 970 becasue that power will last me atleast a year and half before i feel the need to upgrade. dont let the controversy with the 3.5gb thing get to you either. its still a solid performing card and 3.5gb is still more than enough for 1080p gaming.
however, since 2016 is just a month away, why not try to lower all settings for fallout 4 first, wait for another Nvidia release just to get at least the best possible successor to the 970.

I dont want to spend money on an 980 cus its too expensive, so should I wait for Pascal?
Is the first of the 1000 series going to be expensive?
