Hey guys I want to get DDR4 ram but is it really worth it for future proof? should i go for it? I don't which one of these two should I get. The corsair one says it works only for Intel X99 but I keep seeing that it works for Z170, can anyone confirm? If so I would like to go with the 16GB one but I want more opinions please.

G SKILL 8GB RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231886&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Corsair 16GB RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233834&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

My build for now: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nprTK8

And yes what you linked is what I linked :p you will be able to do great things with this build you have. the DDR4 2133 can be taken so high because of the skylake, they are practically made for eac other.

The only thing at the moment that uses DDR4 ram commercially is xbox one and ps4 as far as I am aware. You can get DDR4 just make sure your CPU and MOBO are compatible with it. you will most likely get better results from a higher frequency such as ddr3 2133 or ddr3 2400.

After review of your MOBO and CPU, you are good to go, may I reccommend getting DDR4 2133MHZ instead of 2666. Your board supports 2133, anything above it requires overclocking in order for it to handle the ram. with DDR4 2133mhz you have room to OC, increasing your memory multiplier while tightening your timings will give you better results. Unless you are a master at over clocking and understand the BLCK and Mltipliers as well as how ram speed affects the bridges and hyper transports and are prepared to OC them, then I would stick with the 2133mhz and work from there.

Which DDR4 2133mhz would you recommend me since those two I linked are 2400 and 2666.

Edit: are these two good? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0123ZCD36/?tag=pcpapi-20

vengance is perfect for your board, with a voltage of 1.2 leaves tons of room to OC, I have seen these ram taken to 3600mhz, after massive tweaking. just alone without major tweaking you will easily be able to get this ram as high as you want it. great for overclocking and already has lower timings. perfect for your desired application.
