Hi guys.

15 days ago, I got my new PC :)

Intel i5 6600k CPU
Asus Z170-A motherboard.
CORSAIR DDR4 2400 8GB x2
Samsung 850 PRO 128G SSD
Seagate 3T/2T and 320G (Include my old HDD)
Asus GTX970
Thermaltake 650W power supply (TR2 RX TRX-650M)

Everything is OK, except for the SSD. First I have noticed that sequential read of SSD is pretty low (50-120 MB/s). And recently, my pc starts to show blue screen (code: critical process died).

So I try to replace SSD with Toshiba Q300Pro 128G and Plextor M6P 128G, But Bios (UEFI) can't detect them… (I have tried swapping all the power plugs and SATA cables, still doesn’t work)

Today I replace the motherboard with Gigabyte B150-D3H, 850PRO is still low performance and Bios still can’t detect Q300.....

It’s weird and really drives me crazy. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you very much in advance.

Hey there, Showmeapath.

Unfortunately it sounds like "weird" is the least you can say about this case. The first thing that comes to my mind is to try the SSDs with a different computer or try them with yours, but with the HDDs disconnected. If a drive is having issues, it can often lead to your other drives' worse performance or problems with detection. You could also backup any important data which you might have and test the HDDs, to see if there are any errors or bad sectors. You could also test the SSD that's detected, to see if there are any errors.

Please let me know how everything goes.

Hey kkcciinn.

I've read all the posts from the thread. You could try the drive with a different computer, to see if there's any difference performance wise. I'd also suggest that you check if there's available firmware update. You could also try updating the BIOS/UEFI of your motherboard.
If none of that works for you, or you don't want (or can't) try those options, all you're left with, is to wait for the response from the SSD manufacturer's customer support, to see what they have to say.

Please keep me posted.

I tried using my friends computer and the read/write was up to a wopping 7000mbps which i what i was expecting..

If the drive is performing fine with a different computer, then the issue must lie somewhere else. Perhaps, you should get in touch with the motherboard manufacturer's customer support and ask for further instructions.
Have you managed to try out the BIOS/UEFI reset or update, to see if that fixes things up. Also make sure to check for a firmware update for the SSD. It is possible to work fine with a computer, but need the firmware update for different computer, with different components for better compatibility.
Did you get a response from the SSD manufacturer?
