i have decided to use a wired network instead of xbox one wirless and i was wondering what i should use. computer components are more my thing not networking so i do not know much about it. is cat5e good and do i have to use a network cable or Ethernet cable (or are they the same). there are some on ebay for around £7 are they gonna be okay or do i have to spend a lot of money to get a good one?

Cat5e is good, it is similar to cat6 in the sense that you can make it go 1000Mb (~120 Megabytes / second). But even if you only have a router with 100Mb your games and even streamed movies should work perfectly. If you play games, your ping should be much lower with a wired network instead of wireless.
Ethernet and network cable are the same thing. The Ethernet cable typically uses an RJ45 connector and the Xbox one has one of those and so should your router (unless it is a USB router). A Cat5 ethernet 7quid cable will be perfect.
