hi, im planning on building an open loop with a cpu and gpu (maybe add another one in the future), i will use this block for the cpu: swiftech apogee xl and a reservoir thats about 240 mm tall, what pump whould you recommend? what type (ddc or r5) and how many l/h? im thinking of getting a ddc pump that can deliver 850 l/h, will that be enough?

i dont think your setup will mean any major difference between the two pumps. Better off getting a d5 vario and setting the speed as you wish - save costs and as most people do 'set and forget' once you find the right speed. Keep in mind d5 is larger than DDC and quieter, in case that makes a difference.

Yes substantially and its quieter as you may know some water cooling systems can get pretty noisy.
