Ok guys for Christmas this year I have decided to get myself something nice but I have some questions I'd like to ask before my decision. I currently have an i5 4670k paired with my radeon 7870 gpu. Both of which I am ready to upgrade due to recent releases like the witcher 3 and fallout 4. My decision lies in choosing between upgrading only my gpu to a gtx 980 maybe a 980 ti. or upgrading my cpu to the now on sale i7 devils canyon 4790k and my gpu to a gtx 970. I have heard the 970 is amazing for the price which makes me think upgrading my cpu may be a good idea. I have also heard that if possible always go for the better gpu when you have the money. I currently have a rosewill 750w 80+ bronze certified psu so if you guys think I should upgrade that as well either way that would be helpful. Thanks for any input or opinions guys.

side note: I do a lot of recording while playing pc games so my cpu is usually under a "high load" according to obs. which also means I do a lot of rendering and photoshop stuff for youtube. Thanks guys!

GPU ONLY! The CPU upgrade is a very small leap but that GPU upgrade is massive in gaming performance. Go for just the GPU! Your current CPU can handle recording and playing at the same time no problem when overclocked. The i7 will not change much if anything.
