RMA for MSI without UPC on box

Hello everyone! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

I just got my new graphics card from MSI, and I am planning to request a mail-in rebate for 20 bucks from Newegg. I know that once I lose the UPC on the box, Newegg will no longer accept RMAs, so I'm wondering if MSI does the same.

I've already registered the product online, but I do not have a computer that I can test it on (I'll get all the components I need to build one in one month, past the rebate deadline). I'd like to know if sending in the UPC voids the warranty for MSI, or if they will still accept the graphics card without the UPC (as well as a cut-out hole in the box).

Thanks in advance!

It's their rebate (MSI), isn't it? They better accept the card on an RMA w/o the UPC code if they told you to send it in for the rebate. Besides, quite often they don't want you to return all the accessories and box when you send the card in for repairs. And since you registered that car already at MSI, it is in their database. But don't hold your breath for the rebate. It'll be at least 8 weeks.

Thanks for the reply. According to people on another forum, MSI's RMA is serial code based, so as long as I have a proof of purchase and the serial number is still on the card for them to verify, they will accept it.

I saw that the rebate is worth 20 dollars, so I thought, "Hey, why not? I'm dropping by the mail-box in a while anyways."

Cheers!
