Dxtory records in a low FPS

When I'm actually recording with DXtory, it runs fine at 60FPS. However, when I go to edit, I find that the game is at about 15-20FpS. I've messed around with the settings but nothing is changing. Help?

So you are playing at 60 FPS but you video is only being recorded at 15-20 FPS?

Yep, in the top left corner the FPS counter is usually like this 60:15 or something along those lines.

So you get a constant 60-50 FPS or does it drop to 20-15 FPS?

It's constant 60FPS when I'm recording but when I go to edit it and watch the video back, the frame rate is incredibly low.

I believe you need to properly set the write speed of the file.

If you do a auto test and it is still recording at low FPS you may need a better HDD

I did a write speed and its 100MB/sec. I also don't think its my HDD as I've recorded with FRAPS and that works fine.

i think 100 is way too high.

Try setting it to around 40-50

If that doesn't work I have no clue man.
