Hello, I've come to TomsHardware for many years when I needed some technical issues. I've never had to post and can generally find someone with a similar issue as mine for troubleshooting.

I've got two 9800gtx i'm trying to run together. I don't know much about sli or crossfire but I'm hoping to become more knowledgeable.

I've put both into my Motherboard, an asus p5q pro. Windows device manager only shows one of the graphics cards and my Nvidia driver has no option for both of them. I know both cards work, and I've tried reinstalling the drivers.

I do not have a Sli bridge, but from what I understand they can run in unison through the motherboard. I don't even think there are spots for a bridge to go, but I am unknown to this to be honest.

Do I need to enable my second slot in bios for it to detect? I browsed around my bios but didn't see anything that looked relevant.

Any help or ideas on how to go about learning or getting this set up would be appreciated!

You cant do crossfire with two 9800GTX cards, you can only do crossfire with two or more amd cards. In other words, you cant get those two cards working with your motherboard.

Nope, you cant get working two nvidia cards in sli with that motherboard. You can do crossfire but no sli.
