I read you shouldn't mix different RAM brands but the HyperX version is way cheaper than the stock Kingston. I have a stock Kingston 4GB DDR-1333mhz and I want to get a Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR3-1333mhz. Will I be able to fully utilise the 12GB RAM?

It will have about a 50/50 chance at working together. Even if it initially works, you might have stability issues later. No way to know for sure but to give it a try and see.

I wouldn't personally try and mix them. If your system needs more than 8GB of RAM to work well then it would be best to upgrade to a pack of 16GB. 8GB is plenty for gaming and day-to-day applications.

Hm, then I rather get the stock Kingston as it isn't THAT much expensive and it will work well with the Kingston I already have.

Mixing DRAM from any mixed packages can be and often is problematic, even if you get a stick the same exact model. With 1333, even if they don't want to play can often get them to with slight voltage/timing adjustments, mixing with the Fury can be harder as they run off PnP and often aren compatible with non PnP sticks
