I have a non booting image of Windows XP home for a Dell XPS 400. It was once a part of a dual boot system. When I boot it, the old dual boot menu appears but then I get a black screen hardware error message and it reboots. I tried running fixmbr from a Windows 98 floppy but the command only confirms no changes were made to the MBR. What do I try next?
