Sleeving existing modular cables?

Solution
good point I was thinking of replacing the ports too for more color. if you keep them stock then it is a lot easier. now you just will either want to de solder the ends off each cable and reuse them, or get new ends in whatever color you want.
generally when doing custom cables, you just get pre-sleeved wire of certain colors and then cut it to length. cable mod and other places sell just the wire if you want to be a DIY person. it is pretty much as simple as de-solder, cut to length, re-solder in same place.

What would you be de soldering and soldering, the pins? Wouldn't you just do what this person does in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5SLtnBNAsA), but just take it out of the adapters and sleeve those one by one?
