I'm looking to side grade my 970 to r9 390. I currently run on rosewill capstone 450w 80+ gold psu, can I get by with this psu?

Solution
the card's theoretical maximum board power based on the pci-e connectors (375 watts). You would have to tell us your other system specs to correctly measure it but in all honesty i wouldn't run a 390 without a 600w.

just get a 600-750w PSU. there are all kinds of deals on them right now.. 40-60$

P.S. that's an expensive sidegrade! are you like moving to the R9 390 and selling your 970 to someone?

yep! i got a 390 during black friday for $230 and just sold my 970 at the same price. so it was like 1:1 trade. super happy with it because 970 could not play blops 3 in ultra for me. 390 is able to do it just fine.

also picked up an evga supernova p2 650w during black friday. all is good!
