I am close to building a gaming rig with the specs below..

Motherboard:ASUS M5A97 PLUS AM3+ AMD 970/SB950 6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s)
CPU: AMD FX 8350 Black edition (possibly going to OC in the future)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120 fan)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 04G-P4-2974-KR 4GB SC GAMING w/ACX 2.0
Standard DVD drive i bought a while ago from my previous build
1TB hard drive from previous build i believe 7200rpm from WD
RAM: 8GB (x2 4GB Crosshair vengeance 1600)

Not sure if the components below matter but..
A 24inch LCD monitor
Razer gaming mouse and a plain logitech keyboard, will be getting a nice 7.1 audio headset to go with it.

I was looking into 750 originally because on my last build that wasnt even high end kept power surging with a non modular 600 watt psu, id be 5 seconds into playing a game with my new GTX 760 at the time and my pc would shut off and restart. as if it were a cold boot. it was a cheap little crap psu but still i want to be sure with my new higher end components i wont have the same issue. :)

Nice share! I just bought 800 watts PSU, which is way more than required for my PC specs. Wish I have seen this article before.
