I have a amd phenom 8450 with ASUS m2n 68 am plus board......and I want to know can Phenom ii x940 3.0 GHz (black edition) processor support my motherboard. I want to upgrade my processor. help me guyz

It looks like it is not supported, this post explains a possible reason:

Here is the problem... The PhenomII X4 940 has a thermal design power of 125watts... But the voltage regulation circuit for the processor in your board supports 95watts maximum... pulling any more power through the circuit can burn it out. That is why the 940 is not supported.
