Looking at some new RAM.

So I'm looking to get some new Corsair Vengeance RAM and I need to know two things.
Is it compatible with my board : P8Z77-LX
and whether I should get 1600mhz or 2400mhz.

1) Yes, that RAM should work on the P8Z77-LX

2) The frequency of mudule to get really depends on the CPU you have. If you have an unlocked 'k' processor with a mild to moderate overclock your system could benefit from the faster 2400Mhz RAM. If you have a locked processer stick with the 1600Mhz.

I currently have a i7-3770k with no overclock.

That's a strong CPU, but your motherboard isn't a great platform for overclocking. Unless you were interested in starting to overclock I'd honestly stick with the 1600Mhz RAM for now, you won't see a huge performance boost between the two.

Okay but it wont hinder me If I do buy it? I only ask because for some bizarre reason the 2400mhz is currently cheaper. Sitting at £66.

Not at all, if you can get that RAM for cheaper go right ahead!

Worse case would be that it clocked itself down a bit, but that wouldn't hinder your system at all, you just might not be getting the full speed.
