Need help about finding out cables for hard drive

I have a 500gb 3.5" Western Digital hard drive. I have sata cables connected to the Power Supply and I tried plug them into the hard drive but they wouldn't fit. The port on the hard drive looks like a SATA with the L shape port. Im confused please help

There are two cables:

1) a small thinner cable from the motherboard to the drive for data.

2) A second cable (with a bigger "L") for power. You need to have the proper adapter cable to connect a power plug (4- wires, red, yellow, black, and black) to the drive's power port.

I got the smaller one in big the bigger one is the problem. The cable are the same colours as you explained

Ahh fixed the problem the sata was just a bit hard to plug in. All G now

Great - glad it is fixed.

Not unusual for new plugs to be a bit tight.

Just make a note for the furture that the connection may be somewhat difficult to unplug.
