Real quick what I need.
I have a 16 month old who is out and about. Main purpose of this device will be for pictures/recordings of him. It will also be completely replacing my wifes old digital camera which desperately needs to be replaced.
Hoping to find something with decent battery life, ability to get sharp images even during movement, and fairly compact. The budget is around $200.. may go up slightly but fairly solid on this price.
I found this while searching online, but when it comes to camera/camcorders I have no idea what any of that stuff means... lol

This seems to fit all my needs at a glance, but like I said I have no idea. Also I don't know if there is anything similar that might be a lot better for the price.
