PC gaming is not cheaper than PS4, and hasn't been for the past 2 years.

If you want to play the exclusives, you really have no choice but to buy a PS4. However, PC offers lots more resolutions, ability to play on multiple displays, lots of mods (for most games anyways), and usually runs a game better than the PS4 would. But simple "PC Master Race" PC is better than Console is as far away from the truth as one can get. Spending the same amount of money won't get you all the features console offers, just sad how lame this has become. With that said, you're better off upgrading your PC; I would look at both a CPU and GPU upgrade, possibly PSU if it can't handle newer cards.

All the best!

PC Master Race. With new DDR4 supporting AMD APUs and NVIDIA's Pascal next year, consoles' end will be near. Consoles are already one leg in the grave.

PS: I am not biased. I actually own PS3 and like it very much, but you should understand that PC is so customizable and there are so many different components, cases, parts, that they will soon have no match if they will become truly cheaper than consoles. Actually you can buy a T3500 off of Ebay for $150 and then get a GPU for $200, and then you get yourself a console killer for less than $400.

PC is getting cheaper. PC can be controlled with a controller just like the console. You can build a PC to look just like and the size of a console. PC for $400 is way more powerful than a "next-gen" console. PCs are customizable so you don't have to sit with the same PS4 for 5 years as more games come out. Consoles only get 30 FPS soap while PCs can pull out as much as the TV can show. There are many free PC games and in general PC games are much cheaper than on Xbox or PS as well as there's a lot of them for the PC. Having a PC instead of a console is also an efficiency advantage because you will have a machine that can do anything, not only play games on your TV. Powerful PCs become cheaper and cheaper to build every year.

It is a matter of time :)

I don't agree with that, I own both + PC. Games are literally free on consoles, 2 each month for each provided you have a gold/plus membership. In the long run console is definitely way cheaper than PC games (there are Steam holiday equvalent sales going on every week on either console too).

When it comes to PS4 vs Xbox One, that's a different comparison, the Xbox One is weaker than the PS4. The PS4 can push 60 FPS in a few more games than Xbox One can, or at least stay above 30.

However, to say that just because PC hardware is getting cheaper/faster/stronger overtime is not an indication of consoles dying, or people changing platform. Way more people gaming on consoles than PC. I prefer to stay neutral. Having used both platforms, I simply state the facts from what I've learned. The simplicity of consoles, is what's selling them.

Apple phones got more sales due to the same reason, it's really obvious what's going on. But I hate when people simply compare console to a PC, when there's a lot more complicated decisions and short term issues, drivers, etc. PC is by no means stable, especially not a game during launch.

Console is the better option for someone that doesn't want to deal with any of it, just play games and other media. We're definitely going to see a new console both from Sony and Microsoft later on in the future.

I totally agree with you. I'm not hating on consoles, I'm just stating the obvious - something that many people are scared to say.

I know there are console sales but Lord Gaben will give you 5+ awesome games you will spend hundreds of hours playing alone and with your friends for like $50. Some big titles go on sales <$5 such as Dark Souls, Far Cry Series and more.

Yes, many people don't want to deal with building your own PC, but it is still a universal thing. People on budget would NEED a PC/laptop and they would want to get a console for gaming but getting a PC for both of those goals would be cheaper and smarter.

Lazy people will be lazy. Consoles are for those who don't want to bother with a PC which is not really a truly better option over a console if you wanna play games on your TV but it is obvious that this battle PC vs Console will continue on with both consoles becoming more powerful and PCs becoming cheaper and cheaper for the same amount of power it provides.

Customization of the PC, custom settings in the games advantage, option to use mouse and keyboard are all good. Console was one leg in grave since it came out because the PC was still there, and I don't think that second leg will go into the grave very soon.

Now, could we just close the topic of PC Master Race, specifically PC vs PS/Xbox because I don't feel like talking about it anymore :)
