Hey.

I'm gonna be straight to the point.

I'm not sure. But what should my general set-up be for the GA-970-UD3?

My graphics card is dying I think but I can't play any games at the moment. I load them and it freezes everything. I've read about MoBo issues but it seems that no one has had this issue for the MoBo I listed.

Any tips? Do I need to upgrade my BIOS?

Thanks.

She's an old one man.

GPU: Radeon HD 6870 XFX version
CPU: AMD FX 8350
RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS-3
MoBo: GA-970-UD3
PSU: Trash tier, CoolerMaster 500-u or something, can't find anywhere online, came with the case (bottom tier tho)

I've had suspicions its the PSU failing but I'm not 100% because it only fails on games and if I start a lot of video-intensive programs or something at once. E.g. YouTube, a game and Twitch. But atm I can't even run a game.

Thankfully, I'm having an R9 390 and EVGA GS 650W for Christmas so it's a long overdue worthwhile upgrade. Right?

Okay thanks a lot.

I've been reading people say it's commonly a MoBo problem, but I haven't had issues until now and they haven't updated the BIOS so I've been a lil confused.

I could normally run most games from 2007-2012 on high/ultra and every time I try to play any game it literally freezes and I can't do a single thing. Have to hard restart my computer.

Yeah this is my first computer (From 5 years ago, I'm ashamed) with some minor upgrades here and there (SSD, CPU, Cooler and case) but no new GPU or PSU.

It adds up I suppose - poor PSU, poor PSU for 5 years and a 5 year old graphics card.

I feel lucky that the computer has lasted me this long now that I look it on paper like that.
