Can graphics card require more power over time?

Hi, I was wondering if graphics card require more and more power to reach the same results as it gets older (it's been like less than a year). Or, is it a common fault of a gfx card to do this?

I just need to know as there's something wrong with my PC where either my PSU isn't supplying enough power or that my GFX Card is drawing more than normal.

Gpus do not need more power over time. In less than a year, nothing would age enough. You're looking at 5+ years for anything. As capacitors age, they won't be able to provide as much power. But unless you got a low quality psu and you were near the psu capacity limit already, then it shouldn't ever be an issue. Looking at your other thread, most likely it's your temps causing issues. If you've been running in the 90s for multiple months, you're killing your gpu.

Usually no but it can degrade if it was highly overclocked. The usual issue is the psu caps age and the power gets dirtier and lower if its not a high quality psu.
Usually high quality psus teir 1 or tier 2 last 5 or more years with fewer issues. As yours is less than a year old this may not be the issue unless it was a really bad psu. I would check the temps and drivers as mentionsed above first make sure your up to date and not running hot.
This is a good tool to see who actuallly makes your psu and its quality.

Ya if you have a decent psu then that should not be the issue (hopefully). Yep pull it out get rid of any dust build up replace double check all the connectors then see what it does also see what the temps look like.

Just had a shutdown at -18% Power Consumption and 320Mhz GPU Clock. I didn't get to actually record the Load % as I didn't bloody expect the system to shut down at that consumption, but considering it was such as low boost clock, I think its safe to say its the GPU.

Probably should get an RMA soon.
Might be a driver issue, but work load doesn't seem to be too different though.

Just did another test. 68% workload at 80-82 degrees, still crashed.
