The free Rainbow 6 is just a promotion Nvidia is doing. As for the card, clock for clock its higher clocked than the Asus Strix or the MSI Gaming which is what most people would be comparing it to. It has a higher power draw than the others, which is pretty normal for a Gigabyte. Overall they make decent cards and tend to get good reviews.

Rainbow six is only good if you're going to use it. Otherwise it's worth maybe $20 on ebay. You don't actually get cash back for the rebate, they give you a card.
If this were any other time of the year this would be an ok deal. Right now though it's pretty lame. I've already see 970s at $250 before rebates.
