Gtx 750 ti not running please help

Hi i bought a msi gtx 750 ti oc editio. To put in my nforce 680i sli mobo it is a older mobo but it is only going to be temporary, i also have. 700 w psu, the only problem i have is that when i take out the old gpu and put in The new one it does not want to start up it starts with the old one and even without the new one but not with it. From my understanding new gpu's are able to go into older slots, if its a bios update what do i do after getting inot my bios oe what do i do to fix it thanks.

If it is your bios, then you will need to update it via either a bios flash or through windows. If that doesn't work, then I would exchange the card.

it turns out the it was the card that was broken i took it to a pro and he put in a different card in and my pc worked and started up fine and he put that same card in his pc and it did the same thing as mine did si its the card, in the end i sent it back to newegg for a refund and i went to fry's electronic and bought my self a 730 only because they only had that at the time but i do plan to get a 750 ti that is not broken.
