Hi All,

Application:

Anything other then unplug pull old ram install new ram and reboot? Any Bios or steps I need to know about?
Thanks

Solution
Nope just make sure you unplug the power cord from your pc and that you stay in contact with your pc's chassis to avoid esd(electrostatic discharge).

Edit: Make sure your motherboard supports the amount of ram you are putting in but, I assumed you already did this research.

In addition to what Thatmoney has said, the only BIOS issue you may run in to is making sure the speed is correct. If the ram you're replacing has the same speed, you shouldn't have to adjust anything. If its faster memory you'll have to adjust the settings in BIOS. Provided its using XMP you shouldn't have any thing complicated to do.

Alot will depend on the CPU and what memory you are getting, if the DRAM is 1600 or over the basicas are just enable XMP and go. however depending on the individual CPU with 32GB might need to check for a new BIOS, might need additional DRAM to the MC (memory controller)
