Question about performing clean install on HP laptop

Hello,

My mother in law has asked me to "fix her computer because its going slow". The thing is loaded with bloatware that she never uses, and i have never had a store bought computer before, or a laptop for that matter.

My question is, when i do a clean install on this thing, do i need to download the drivers separate or will windows update automatically detect them upon installation of the OS.

If you have the original media, drivers may be included. If not, you should make sure to make a disk with at least the storage controller and network drivers. The rest you can download and install later (and might be installed automatically through Windows Update)
