Hi guys, i m building a new rig here are my sepcs so far,
I7 4790k
Gigabyte b85 d3h
Seasonic s12g 750w
Cooler master hyper 212 evo or deep ool neptwin
Corsair vengeance 16gb 1600 Mhz
Msi gtx 970 4gb
Cooler master cm 690 i case

My main concern is regarding the motherboard, i m running short on budget so i m not going for z97, there are two boards i am considering one is asrock h91m xt plus and gigabyte b85 d3h. In the asrock one i can see there is only a 4 pin 12v cpu power connector but in gigabyte b85 its a 8 pin one. I dont wish to overclock like crazy turbo boost of 4.4 is fine for me for now. I may wish to go for 4.6 in future. Which of these boards is better for me?.. can i overclock my chip on gigabyte h81?. Will asrock h91 be able to handle my chip at 4.4 as its having 4pin cpu power?.

You won't be able to overclock that CPU on those boards. Save money and drop the unlocked CPU if you're getting one of those chipsets.

Update: How much are you getting those boards for, a good Z97 isn't expensive these days.

I want to get a board which supports quad sli if i go for z97 else i want to buy a cheap board like b85. And here in india boards having quad sli are more than twice of the price of low end boards like b85.will i be able to run it on 4.4ghz ie. Max turbo boost frequency?. What kinds of issues will i face if i use this b85 with 4790k?.
