Hi All,

I have been working on a gaming build under 40K . After researching the forum and come up with following build :

Processor : INTEL I-5 (4460) (1150) : 11550
Graphics : HIS ATI R9 270X 2GB 5 B,OC : 11990
RAM : 8GB DDR3 CORSAIR VENGENC : 3190
Motherboard : GIGABYTE H81M-S (1150) : 3090
Hard Drive : 1TB SEAGATE (SV 35)(7200) : 3457
DVD drive : LG SATA : 847
PSU : CORRSAIR VS 550 SMPS : 2990
UPS : MICROTEK /650 VA 12.5%(1 Y) : 1644

Total : 38758

All the prices mentioned are from cost to cost (local delhi shop) price list excluding VAT.

I already have a monitor so that's not required. My gaming requirements is upper-midish.
with games like Assassin creed, FIFA etc.

Can you please suggest whether all the components are compatible with each other , pros and cons.

Thanks,
Nikhil

Solution
Good choice, a couple of suggestions

1. Mob can be upgraded to b85 for a couple of thousands, I think the cost justifies the upgrade

2. I doubt if you can get 8 GB RAM for the thousands; make sure you get 1600 m hz c9 specs, also if possible, get 2 x 4 GB sticks

3. While 270x is great, there is a decent gpu that is also energy efficient: gtx 750 ti. Note that they are not equals in terms of performance

4. Consider cx series from corsair, vs is too risky to trust

1. can you explain what additional feature the b85 brings to the table ?

2. Will keep that in mind.

3. Benchmarks are slightly better for 270x , that s why leaning towards it .

4. Will explore CX series , also looking at Antec. which would be better of the two ?

Thanks,
Nikhil

I waited a while to increase my budget , finally went with this :

Mobo : Gigabyte B85M D3H A
CPU : i5 4460
GPU : Asus Strix gtx 960 2gb
RAM : 8 gb g.skill ripjaws
Hard Drive : 1 TB WD blue
DVD Drive : LG SATA
PSU : 500 watts cooler master
UPS : Microtek 650 VA
Cabinet: Deepcool Kendomen ATX

All in all it cost me around 50,000 INR. In the end it has come out really well , played The Witcher 3 , high settings without overclocking and I m getting decent FPS.

Thanks,
Nikhil
