Hello!
I've recently decided to ressurect my old PC, so I started with adding more RAM. Old RAM is Kingston 2x2 GB dual-channel. I went online and got this one. I put them in, computer starts up, until the point of windows (x64) loading, where it freezes. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3. Then I tried removing the old memory and puttin the new one in every slot. Like this, I can see the RAM in BIOS (4GB), but it won't go past bios-loading. Could you please help me with this one?

Also, these are a couple of screenshots to Memory and SPD tab of CPU-Z: Link

I bought 1 stick of 4 GBs, I'll try upping the voltage in a couple of minutes, will get back with an answer. Thanks for your time!

You'll want the new single stick closest to your cpu as its slower you want the computer to try and use its settings. They will all have to run at the speed of the slowest stick (generally)

I suspect it may have kept your 2000 speed from old sticks... when u just added the new memory I guarantee it tried to run that stick at 2000 and caused the failure

Funny thing is that I suspected the old RAM wouldn't be at 2000MHz(check SS in main post)

Ok, so I managed to enable xmp with the old RAM and got it to 2000mhz, which is supposed to be running. Then I added the 4gb stick I ordered online and it still does the same thing. However, with only the new RAM plugged, it got past BIOS but it froze again on windows load-up.

It's defaulted to 1600, the stick's basic.

Ok, so I did some BIOS tinkering and I got windows to show me a KERNEL_SECURITY_ERROR with old+new RAM, and with just the old RAM it locks my screen resolution to 1024x768 and can't change it.
