I am looking into upgrading my RAM as I only have 4GB at the minute. I am looking to get 8GB but I am at a loss as what to get. On the product page for my motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-H61M-DS2 DVI) it says:
2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
* Due to a Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of the physical memory installed.

Dual channel memory architecture

Support for DDR3 2200(OC)/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

Support for non-ECC memory modules

Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules
* To support XMP memory, you must install an Intel 22nm (Ivy Bridge) CPU.
I don't know what a lot of this means so I have no idea what type of RAM to purchase. I did a quick amazon search for "8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz" and I saw these...
HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz CL9 DIMM

I just want to know if this will work with my motherboard and if there are any other limitations with the CPU or any other parts.

Thanks

On the product page you can see that this RAM matches your socket type and matches your Motherboard's voltage. It should work out of the box
Brand HyperX
Item Weight 91 g
Product Dimensions 33 x 11.4 x 0.3 cm
Item model number HX313C9FBK2/8
Color Black
RAM Size 8192 MB
Computer Memory Type DDR3 SDRAM

You're good to go with that RAM, and it's a reputable brand at a good price.

That should work fine. If you want to be extra sure you can go to Kingston.com and enter your motherboard in the Memory Search tool to verify. The other memory makers almost all have similar tools as well if you wish to look at other brands.
