Computer Randomly Shutting Off, I believe due to power supply.

Hi everybody! So recently, as in this started yesterday, I have been experiencing problems with my computer where it randomly reboots and sometimes it powers off completely. Some context: I built my system around a year ago and it has worked perfectly up until now. I use my computer mainly for gaming and my components are meant to handle the stress of games at ultra quality (components listed at bottom). However, I was playing fallout 4 yesterday and all of a sudden my computer shut off mid game and rebooted. I found this peculiar and tried to play again only to have this happen to me a few more times. I had experienced no power issues before this and all of a sudden my system started to reboot. I tried again today and was able to play for a little bit until it restarted and then after the reboot I was idle for a few minutes and it did it again. Earlier today I ran a stress test and components including my gpu and cpu were able to be maxed with ease for my temps did not raise about 50 degrees Celsius. I also set up a second monitor where I monitored my temps and voltages the entire time I was playing fallout 4 today. The temps I saw for my cpu and vrm never exceeded 50 degrees Celsius and were for the most part around 40 degrees Celsius. The voltages I received for 12V 5V and 3V were all around those values. My cpu voltage was around .8V and would sometimes get up to 1.5V. The reason I believe it is my power supply malfunctioning is that on an occasion or two where my system shut off it wouldn't restart until coming back to it a while later. Not to mention my system was working fine for a year until yesterday. In all honesty I'm not sure what is going on and I am hoping you guys can help! Thank you for any input you can give!

Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 4790k
GPU: Nvidia gtx 980 evga superclocked 2.0
RAM: 2 x 8 corsair vengeance 2400mhz ddr3
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Formula
Heat Sink: Cryorig r1
Power supply: 1000w EVGA 120-G1-1000-VR

Thank you!

Solution
strip system to minimal parts and if you have onboard use it to plug in monitor there could be a falling parts that made short so you have to had in one at the time until system wont boot .

Thanks for the speedy reply! So in regards to monitoring the voltage and temp at idle and under stress, I had been doing that via Asus's provided software AI suite 3 and observed that temps at idle are around 30 degrees celsius and under extreme load are around 50 degrees celsius. In regards to voltage for 3.3V, 5V, and 12V, they are all around the desired values being 3.305V, 5.1V and 12.05V. Give or take a few decimal digits. All of these values are what I have had since day one of having my computer so I haven't noticed any decline in efficiency. Thanks again!

Thanks for the response! Sorry for not responding earlier, but I was at my parents home for Thanksgiving. Anyways, before seeing this, I had stripped my system of its power supply and since I have it under warranty with Microcenter I am bringing it in tomorrow for a quick swap. I had checked the voltage on my 12V rail and it was running at around 11.1V. I checked via software, which I know people don't recommend, but OCCT and AI suite 3 both said that the voltage was at that level idle so I think that might be the problem. If it fixes with a new power supply I will let you know! If not I will run a test on the rest of my parts. Thanks for the help!

So now is the time when I look really dumb. I decided to put my power supply back in my system to check if any components were bad, as you recommended, and it turns out that a cable had come loose, or went bad, for when I plugged everything back in it has worked perfectly fine. My 12V rail was at 11.1V and is now at 12.288V. Thank you for your help!
