I have a stick of 4GB DDR3-1600L CL9 laying around, and I want to know if there's any benefit replacing one of the sticks in a system with 2 x 2GB DDR3-1066 CL7 RAM.
I do know that there's a chance it might not even work given that one is DDR3L and one is DDR3, and the speeds, chip density, etc, are all different. I'm just wondering if it works, will there be any benefit? Also, if things go awry, is there a chance of frying my mobo or RAM?
