Hi there!

I am currently using OBS to stream to twitch and for the most part works well. My computer is a quad core i7, GTX 760 2GB card, and 8gigs of ram.
I was thinking of possibly using my laptop to encode the stream just to take pressure off my main PC. I also get more frame rate dips while streaming from the extra load (which is understandable). The laptop isn't a gaming PC but I think it could handle encoding it.
Is it worth hooking up? Or would it not provide enough of a difference?

Thanks in advance

IF you are using a software base solution which pretty sure that is what OBS is the PC you want to stream has to run the software. If you were using say a Hardware capture card that captures the video stream out of your PC than have it hooked to your PC to encode it and then then stream it then sure you can do that but not with software alone.

Yes I forgot to mention that I was considering buying some hardware to be able to patch it to the second PC. I was just wondering if it would be a big enough difference/worth it to use 2 PC's

honestly it depends on the games. low end games not so much. high end games yea only thing is the Core 2 Duo may bottle neck. I know just converting some older cartoons i have to MP4 my laptop's core 2 duo just drrrraaaagggs compared to my 8 Core AMD
