One day my PC decided to have these really bad dropouts, every 30 seconds the internet would drop out for about 10 seconds. I monitored this by running a ping "website" cmd command on both my PC and laptop (the dropouts only occurred on PC, laptop connection was consistent). So I figured I would try connecting through my laptop's wifi connection (via ethernet cable). This worked with the only issue being the very occasional ping spikes you get with wifi. I therefore concluded that the issue must be the lan wiring in my house (router is upstairs). So I bought a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 wireless adapter (PCI-e) for my PC. Plugged it in, fired it up, and my internet dropouts were still there (if not a little more common). I thought, fuck it lets see what happens when I connect to my laptop via wifi and use MyPublicWifi to make the laptop a wireless access point. Did it and it works perfectly (but the setup is not something I want to have in the long-term). I now have no idea what the issue is, would love some help!

TLDR; PC only seems to want to connect to the internet via my Laptop (which is connected via wifi).

plug your ethernet to your laptop does this happen? Also if you don't get the same issues via wifi it might be the gain of the pcie antenna, check the ethernet cable first on your laptop and check if you get these random drops,if you get it as well take your laptop and check another ethernet cable next to the router and check if you get these random drops
