When my amd fx 6300 is idle the temperature jumps from 42-56 C at start and after about 10 minutes it idles out at about 28-34 C.

When i load into 3d Mark it hits up to 79 C, but will steady out to about 50ish

is this normal or should i be worried, it has the normal stock heat sink.

P.S. I'm using Piriform Speccy to monitor my temps.

That sounds about right, for the stock air heatsink. Do yourself a huge favor, and get a Corsair H70 or H80. I bought an H70 used for about 50 bucks, and run my FX 6350 at 4.9 or 5 Ghz, stable

Idle is about 35 to 38 Celsius, full load peaks at 55 during benchmarking.... during summer in Phoenix, AZ with an ambient temp in my room of about 85 degrees F. You won't have to worry about your temps again
