Ughhhhh!!... This really bothers me so anyone, please help me understand this.
I just got Assassin's Creed Syndicate on my PC and for whatever reason, it runs WORSE than the PS4. Like what? I have my PC specs listed below and you'll notice by the title and specs that I have an MSi R9 380 2GB version. To MY knowledge, a PS4 has a graphics card that is equivalent to a desktop AMD Radeon 7770 or something? Or like a R9 270 or GTX 750 Ti? So why am I having issues running this game at onlyyy 720p with barelyyy hitting medium settings? With 1080p I'm running at like 30-46 FPS, again, barely medium settings.
(Btw when I say "barely medium settings" I mean that I'm using essentially the medium preset of the game BUT I have like shadows on low and something else turned off.)
But anyway, it's honestly ridiculous. Help me understand why this is occurring.

PC Specs:
CPU: AMD FX- 8320E Black Edition
GPU: MSi R9 380 2GB
MoBo: AsRock 970m
RAM: EVGA 8GB
Hard Drive: WD Caviar Blue, 1TB
Operating System: Windows 7-64bit
Case: NZXT Source 210 in Black
PSU: Corsair 750W

P.S: I am running the absolute new drivers from AMD; The Radeon Software, Crimson.

hmmm... I really hope so. Do you think it's because I have a 2GB version of an R9 380?

Actually, i heard that Syndicate is a decent port this time, not like Unity. What i also heard is that it runs very very poorly on AMD systems, because the game is optimized for Nvidia, and their gameworks features. It runs very good on a single 970 and i5 4690 so its most likely because Ubisoft didnt optimize it very well for AMD systems.

And no, i doubt its because you have a 2 GB graphics card, because when it comes to it it doesnt make a difference when you are not running really high settings (1080p/1440p High-Ultra)

Man, that's very unfortunate for me. Whenever the Nvidia splash logo comes up on any game I'm like, "ughh, 'screw' them!" Lolllll!! But yea, it honestly makes me mad as an AMD user because for the most part I'm team Red. Like it sucks when a game that I would cut off a leg for doesn't work right, you know?

Anyway can you elaborate on the second thing you said? What really does affect the performance the card if it's not the 2GBs I'm limited to?

Because atm I have 3 days to return my R9 380, save a littttle bit more money (like 80 more dollars lol), and get an R9 390 8GB.

Thanks for your reply!

Well i meant that i dont think (think, no proof or anything) that a 2 GB model makes a big difference for an 8 GB model unless you are running absolutely maximum and maybe higher refresh rate and 1440p or 4K.

Java:

If the game is as terrible optimized for AMD as we talked about, it would be stupid to go for a 390 just to play a game if you would only get 5 fps more.
