Hello,

I am going to build a new gaming rig and need to know that if 6500 is enough for latest games like Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Fallout 4 etc.. for 1080p gaming. Because where i live 6500 is cheaper about 140$ than 6700. Also prices of 6600 and 6600k are closer to 6700 so they are not worth it. Rest of the components are;

Msi GTX 970 Gaming 4G
Asus Maximus VIII Gene
Samsung 850 EVO 250gb.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Any processor above Ivy Bridge with 4 threads or more should game fine. The 6500 should give you no problems.

UNLESS you want to squeeze out every drop of performance from your processor, get the 6600k, since the k means unlocked multiplier (overclocking)

The 6600k is better at bare bones but it gets really good once you overclock it. If you overclock you will need an after market cooler like the hyper 212 evo. If you want to play ultra settings I suggest the 6600k

Depends. What resolution?

The Fury X will be a huge bottleneck with only 4 gigs of RAM at 4k, but at 2k, the 4 gigs should be just enough to get great performance out of the Fury X
