I7 2600k on ROG Maximus gene_z 4 upgrade

Hey All,
Just looking for some quick advice.
I have an i7 2600k, With 8Gb G.skill oc'd 2333Mhz memory on a ROG Gene-z Maximus 4 mobo. And Corsair Gold 850watt pay.
Currently I have a single HD6970 and want to upgrade.
What's the best card I can put in this machine?

Hey yobrevar,
So depending on the games, some games are optimized on certain settings which are not reliably reachable with any card; there's typically one setting (e.g. MSAA, or some other eye-candy feature) that destroys performance. Turn that one thing off though, and a GTX970 or R9 290 ought to do it. If you want to spend more money, you can easily fit a 980 or R9 390, 390X or even R9 Fury in the build.
