Recently purchased an FX8350 processor for my GA-990FXA-UD3 Gigabyte mobo. According to the compatibility list here : http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support.aspx
it should work with bios version F9 which I already had installed. I installed the processor today and to my dismay it wont post. I cleared CMOS with jumper, still nothing. Installed old CPU (Phenom 955) and got into windows. Updated BIOS to the 2014 "Beta BIOS" F10e and looks like its not posting again.
