24 Gb or 16 Gb?

So my laptop already has 8 GB of RAM (4x2 of http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PC3-12800-1600MHz-204-Pin-M471B5273DH0-CK0/dp/B009AEYBYI)
But I'm trying to buy a 16 GB RAM (8x2 of http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DSGLMSM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
Would it be faster to use all four of them for 24 GB? Or should I just use the two 8 Gb sticks for 16 GB?

I'd recommend using 2x8GB as mixing different pairs of RAM is often problematic and you can't guarantee you'll get them to work. Plus for gaming and most other things you do with a laptop, 16GB is more than enough
