Will my CPU Cooler fan work with this i7 processor?

I was wondering if the CPU fan that came with this processor: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0087EVHVW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0087EVHVW&linkCode=as2&tag=c09_11-20 would work with this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KPRWAX8/ref=psdc_229189_t1_B00J56YSLM or do I need to buy a fan? Also do I need to buy Thermal Paste for the i7 processor? Thank you! :D (I'm trying to upgrade but I'm on a pretty tight budget. I also am not planning on overclocking anytime soon)

Physically it will fit, but the 4790k has a higher TDP, you should check temperatures when you install it to make sure they are acceptable.

Thank you very much! What about the Thermal Compound, should I do the same thing with seeing if the temperature is acceptable without it or is it needed? Thanks again! :D
