I'm endeavoring to put together only my second rig ever, and it's turning into an ambitious, not to mention expensive project. That being said, my PC building knowledge is at best intermediate, and probably less than that in some aspects.

I want to use the MSI X99A Godlike motherboard with 2x EVGA Hydro Copper 980 Ti's in SLI. Once I made this decision I found out about the EVGA Pro SLI Bridges that come in 4 different lengths. I definitely want to use one of these but even after a few hours of research I'm still lost as to which length and type I need for this setup.

I'm pretty sure I want to run the cards in the PCIe-1 and PCIe-4 slots to get an optimal 16x0x0x16x0 configuration.

Is this correct thinking?? If so, I'm pretty sure that's a big stretch between the two cards but how do I know which length SLI bridge to get?

Any and all advice or help here is much appreciated!! Thanks!

I know it's been a while since you posted this but I just went through the same issue with my new build. You want a 3-way pro bridge for boards using slots 1 and 4. Just a heads up though, there's no difference between the pro and regular 3-way SLI bridge in terms of performance and the "color changing" option on the pro bridge is a sticker you slap over the logo. The only benefit really is that the metal construction of the pro bridge may give you a teeny tiny bit of extra surface area to dissipate some heat (and it does get hot).
