Building a good gaming rig.. want to know if I have selected good parts etc. as I am a first-time builder. Thanks.

G2, or GS units are far better. H55 is a lousy cooler, for the money. I see little value, in such an expensive motherboard, though. Changing to an MSI Z97 gaming 5, would allow for a better cooler. Love gigabyte motherboards, but their graphics cards, not so much. MSI or Evga, would be my picks. With some changes, even a 4790k is possible, at a similar cost.

Very nice build +1, only things I would look at was maybe a better cooler or a cheaper mobo. You can also get Windows for about £15 on eBay, I'll find you a link if you want. They're legit, i've had one for my pc.

Beautiful build! However, I would agree with Mattz982 about the motherboard, it's a bit overkill. You don't have to get too crazy with motherboards, so if I were you I would search for cheaper alternatives. Good luck!

Thanks for the input, really sorry about the late replies. I didnt think I'd get an answer really. Im still quite a noob when it comes to building so your advice is much appreciated. Do you know if I'd get a better price altogether if I left ordering the parts until the new year?
