First off thanks for looking and thanks for the help!

Purchasing all my parts tomorrow, but I'm not sure if this memory is both compatible and will be fully optimized with the MSI board:

CPU: 5820k

Motherboard: MSI X99A SLI PLUS

Memory: G.SKILL RIPJAWS V SERIES (3200Mhz)

Been researching for a few hours now and can't find anything concrete.

I'd love to hear some feedback and am open to all recommendations!

No problem,

And yes, it has the correct holes for CPU heatsink support. In this picture below, you can see four large holes just out from the corners of the CPU socket. Those are the holes designed to support after-market heatsinks.

Okay thank you so much that's what I was worried about!

PS: I tried looking for this as well but do you know if MSI mobos have holes through the socket for CPU cooling?

Was throwing an ek predator in there but can't find a solid picture or answer as to the holes :(

Yeap, I know what sockets the cooler supports, but I've read many times that some boards don't have holes that go through the board (unfortunately).

As aforementioned, the question was more designated to see if the MSI X99a Sli Plus had the holes that went straight through, and as glamdringfh confirmed they are there on that specific board.

Thank you so much for all the help!

Until you have a modern board that you try to drill out the holes because they don't have them?
