Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 and Asus ROG Front Base compatibility

Hi,

I have a Cooler Master Master Case Pro 5 and am trying to secure a Asus Rog Front Base into the two 5.25inch bays.

The problem is the holes to secure the front base do not line up with any holes on the case.

Would i need to drill holes in the chassis to get this to fit or is there some type of adapter?

I have been trying to deal with Cool Master about this but they told me to secure the drive bay back to the chassis, which I did, but the front base doesn't reach the drive bay.

Have the same problem. I will try out the following: SilverStone SDP06 5.25-Inch Extension Bracket. Any experiences?

Hey thanks for your reply, yes I have since spent 2 weeks going back and forward with Cooler Master and they have admitted that the case cannot support the front base.

They have however made an engineering change to add two brackets so that the front base can be installed.

I am waiting for them to send out a new front panel with the brackets fitted.

Will keep you posted if it works!!

Hey, can I buy these brackets somewhere or were they custom made for you?

Hey,

So i received a new front panel from cooler master in Taiwan and it had some extra brackets fitted.

The front base now fits perfectly and its nice and secure.

Cooler Master support made the comment that this was only a prototype and said I would have had to wait 6 months+ for them to manufacture properly.
