How can I use both my graphics card and my motherboard to display a monitor?

My motherboard is the Z170XP -SLI and my graphics card is the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked. I plugged my main monitor into the graphics card, but my drawing tablet does not display when I plug it into the motherboard. I've searched through the bios and found nothing that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

U might try checking your tablet settings in the control panel . Providing , of course your OS isn't antiquated .

I can plug in either my tablet or my monitor but not both at the same time. Also I am running Windows 10.

What does your tablet display? If it's just input, then maybe get an HDMI splitter and try that.
