Slower memory in fast slot?

Hello,

My laptop has 1600 MHz RAM slots, and I have a redundant 1066 MHz stick. My question is, Can I install that stick into my laptop?

If you have it, give it a try, if the other DRAM is faster it will pull all down to 1066 or possibly slower
