I am looking at purchasing an Asus Z170-A MB and was going to put in 2x8gb sticks of corsair Dominator 3000mhz memory or Hyperx Savage memory, but looking at the specs I am not sure now what will work.

Do I just get 2133mhz and then overclock or just get 2666mhz or 3000mhz memory?

I was going to get 2x8gb as it's dual channel and can add more later is this ok?

I was given this link and it confused me even more

First what CPU are you getting? That will determine what data rate of DRAM you can run (i.e. 2400, 2666, 2800, 3000, 3200, etc). Best to get the full amount of DRAM you want in a single package - there are no guarantees than old and new DRAM will play together - even if the same exact model

Hi I am going t be going for a i7 6700K cpu.

I understand as I have heard it before that if you are going to put 4 sticks in then get a set of 4 as they have been tested working together correctly. But I doubt I will go above 16gb so will probably go 2x8gb as dual channel should be better than 4x4gb.
