Alright so, i've never had any aftermarket sound card before and got no idea about those and thus asking for help choosing one. Had eyes on Asus Xonar DGX, seems to be cheap and supports 5.1
I got currently sony 5.1 home theater system and cant utilize it while watching movies/playing games because my current one doesnt seem to support 5.1, i can only play it on stereo.
Or tbh, not even sure if its due to sound card, but i got it connected with aux (from "phones" plug in theater to back of my mobo). I should maybe have it connected with hdmi?
And does it improve the quality alot for gaming and music listening?
